Breast & Areola

Areola BreastEverything you need to know about a nipple tattoo procedure and how this can create or restore your areola.

For many women having an even appearance to their breasts can help them feel more feminine, whether this relates to the size or shape of their breasts or areola.

While there are a range of options for making breasts appear fuller, including padding or implants, micro-pigmentation procedures are key to creating a well-defined areola, where this does not already exist.

A nipple tattoo procedure can be used to create a natural-looking areola, which can help to provide the ‘finishing touch’ for women after breast reconstruction or breast augmentation surgery.

Nipple tattoo procedures: Who are they suitable for?

An Nipple tattoo  procedure is suitable for any woman who wants to alter the appearance of their areola area in order to restore their body confidence.

This could particularly apply to women who have suffered from breast cancer and are left with faded or non-existent areola as a result of reconstructive surgery on their breasts.

Nipple tattoo procedures can help to closely match the shade of your new areola, with those that were in place before surgery, and can also help to disguise any scarring around the areola area that may have occurred as a result of surgery.

What will my nipple tattoo procedure involve?

A nipple tattoo procedure is both quick and safe, and can provide the long-lasting results that many women considering areola restoration have been looking for.

Our fully qualified and experienced micro-pigmentation specialist Caron will talk you through the procedure, and discuss the mix of colours that will be used to create the correct pigment, as part of your free, no-obligation consultation.

To give you an idea of the results you can expect from the procedure, Caron will also show you a range of before and after pictures from previous procedures.

The procedure will then be divided into two treatments, booked 4 to 6 weeks apart. The treatment will begin with Caron applying an anaesthetic cream to numb the area to be treated, to ensure that you are comfortable throughout the procedure, with the first part of the medical tattoo procedure lasting between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

At the end of the treatment antiseptic soothing cream will be applied and a waterproof dressing you will also receive an aftercare sheet and a sachet of Vaseline, giving you everything you need to care for the treated area.

Caron will then book a second appointment for 4 to 6 weeks time.
